‘When We Were Young’ music festival canceled Saturday due to high winds, as forecasted

The “When We Were Young” music festival, planned for Sacramento Saturday, was canceled due to high winds forecasted as 10 to 20 mph, organizers said.

“Due to weather conditions and security concerns, we have canceled our music festival scheduled for Saturday,” the Sacramento chapter of the American Cancer Society said in a news release. “We have canceled performances and will share more information as it becomes available.”

The Sacramento chapter’s Music Valley Festival, which was scheduled to take place at the Rancho Dominguez amphitheater, is scheduled for March 8-10 on the Sacramento River near Sacramento International Airport.

“Many of you have been calling us for weeks asking if it will be canceled, and with great regret we have to tell you the answer is yes,” the statement said. “This decision comes at a very difficult time for our organization
