Jude Bellingham claims police are ignoring racism in football

‘Maybe we are alone’: Jude Bellingham questions whether authorities ‘care’ about racist abuse directed at Black footballers

Jude Bellingham claims police in Britain are ignoring racism in football

He claims there are only three police officers dedicated to the tackling of racism and not nearly enough to deal with ‘ordinary’ racism

Bellingham claims there are more than 1000 racist incidents reported every week but few get reported to the police

He says police report one incident a week of racist abuse against black people in football

‘We are not racist and we are not racist, but we love our black footballers’

He is the founder of the British Humanist Association

But, according to the Daily Mail, police officers receive about three racist incidents to report per week

He claims it is impossible for the police to ‘do more than act as the moral referees’ and ‘that the failure to report racist behaviour has led to a failure to tackle racism’

And, according to the Mail, ‘Jude Bellingham, the founder of the British Humanist Association and a former football player from a wealthy family, has become the voice of reason in the debate about racism in football.’

He believes the British police are ‘completely negligent’ in the way they deal with racist incidents and has made a series of allegations that have been denied by police officers

We are not racist and we are not racist, but we love our black footballers.
